Affirmations have been around since the beginning of time but as recent as the “New Age Era,” emphasis has been placed on them in a wholesale way. These series of thoughts, called affirmations, are tools to rewire the subconscious mind.

Whatever you tell yourself on a daily basis becomes your permanent inner dialogue until you change it.

From the ages of 0-7 years old we were at our most impressionable. Those who were around us during that time, family, friends, teachers, had the most profound effect on our mental development.

From the moment we learned our first word, we started to erect our own mental prison.

Our inner dialogue shapes the narrative of our lives.

When we sit back or lay in bed and reflect on life in such a way that we summarize it’s contents.

Or when we take audit of all of the things we’ve accomplished or wished we had accomplished. We tend to take all of that information and form our self image based in a false narrative.

We unknowingly amass more and more language to edify our mental prison. But we can tear down that prison and erect a kingdom instead.

I am going to take you through the power & potency of affirmations.

Many people write them off as “woo” and too “abstract” for them because it isn’t tangible enough.

They also write them off because quite frankly these people are too lazy to regain control of their minds.

You should NEVER outsource the power of your mind to outside forces.

The only thing you can control for sure is your mind. The only true asset you have is your mind.

Affirmations

Writing your affirmations down is an effective way to rewire your subconscious mind.
Use a journal to rewire your subconscious mind.

So what are affirmations? The dictionary states

Affirmation
n.The act of affirming or the state of being affirmed; assertion.
n.Something declared to be true; a positive statement or judgment.
n.The assertion that the testimony one gives is true and equivalent to that which would be given while under oath.

There are three components to the definition of the word “affirmation.”

The first one says: “the act of affirming or the state of being affirmed; assertion.” I like this definition because the operative word in that definition is “ASSERTION.”

Assertion is important in a society that wants to tell YOU how to live and what to be.

We should be asserting ourselves from within ourselves into our environment, bringing and adding value with our uniqueness.

Affirmations are a way of making something fact. The second component of this three part definition states “something declared to be true; a positive statement or judgement.”

We have to DECLARE what we want ourselves to be true even before we see it with our own eyes.

This is how we manifest our realities.

It is important that we place our assertions as true, positive judgements BEFORE we see it with our own eyes because of the characteristics of the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.

The third component of this definition is similar to the second except that it says “…testimony one gives is true and equivalent to that which would be given while under OATH.”

We take oaths with everyone and everything except for ourselves. The most important oath we should take is that with ourselves.

This oath should state: “I swear to always guard, guide and fortify my mind with only the best materials for the edification of the kingdom of heaven within.”

When we neglect to do this, our mind becomes indentured slaves to every whim around us.

Take an oath RIGHT NOW stating that you will be ON THE THRONE of the kingdom of your own mind. No one else should be there except for YOU.

The Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind is similar to the ocean in that the depths are immeasurable.

The subconscious mind is one of the most powerful weapons you can possess.

Some refer to the subconscious mind as the unconscious mind because it is below our level of normal, day to day consciousness.

This can be easily depicted by an iceberg that has only a small portion of it’s total surface showing.

Some people also refer to the subconscious mind as the ether.

I like to think of the ether as a looming dark cloud containing everything that has ever existed. All ideas, lives, knowledge, art exists in the ether.

A more popular symbol of the subconscious mind is the ocean. It is said that the ocean has unknown depths that are unexplored.

The subconscious mind consists of depths that are forgotten and seemingly non existent BUT has an immense impact on the way we live our lives.

This is PURE POTENTIALITY.

When you truly understand that the subconscious mind is your mind’s “source code” that you can access and edit at Will with affirmations, you WILL achieve untold amounts of success.

When learning about the power of the subconscious mind people accept the facts about it intellectually but refuse to apply the knowledge they gained from it by utilizing affirmations.

The Subconscious Mind Accepts Everything That It Is Told Through Affirmations

You MUST guard it with all your might.

Look, do NOT listen to anyone trying to audit you, telling you what you are capable of and what you’re not capable of. That is one hundred percent up to YOU. You are the puppet master pulling the strings.

Speak to yourself nicely.

Any speech you come in contact with is liable to influence your subconscious mind.

Some people use this knowledge to covertly suggest things to you. These suggestions program your subconscious mind. They function just like affirmations but the difference is that the intention is coming from outside yourself from another.

How To Guard The Subconscious Mind

You can guard the subconscious mind in a few ways.

The first way I’m going to mention is box breathing: 4 seconds on inhalation, 4 seconds on holding breath, 4 sections on exhalation & 4 seconds of no breath then repeat.

This form of breathing calms you down.

When you are calm you are present. When you are present you are not open to suggestion. The Buddhists call this “guarding the mind.”

The conscious mind is to stand as a gate keeper to the subconscious.

The second way is to never look people in the eyes when THEY are speaking to you. Look at any other spot on their face except deep into their eyes.

A lot of people think that it is necessary to always make eye contact but that is a mistake. People are constantly trying to influence you in one way or another, eye contact is another.

Hypnosis is real. Be vigilant of when someone is trying to make subtle suggestions to you whilst using eye contact.

The eyes are the window to the soul

When it is your turn for YOU to speak, stare into the root of their nose, that point between their eyebrows or what is known as “the third eye.”

This flips the script on them an now YOU are the influencer.

Do not compromise the power of your individuality or agency by ceding control over the influence of your subconscious mind.

Whoever or whatever you want to be is available to you through the power of affirmation. Once you give that up, it’s a wrap.

Here’s some good news. If you are currently someone you do not want to be you can change that by understanding that the brain is elastic.

Neuroplasticity

The brain has the power to “rewire” itself.

If once upon a time you were a loser you can retrain the brain in order for you to be a success.

This is not easy which is why you see all of these 30 day challenges.

These challenges are useful because they allow for the brain to go into a retraining phase. It takes about 21 days to form a habit so 30 days is enough to transform an individual in a certain respect.

When you try these 30 day challenges you will notice that the first few days are hard to complete. Then as the days go on and you stay disciplined enough to continue to carry on this project, it gets easier and easier to keep going.

It’s like pushing a boulder up a small hill until you reach the peak and then the boulder just rolls down the hill and is carried by its own momentum. That is how these challenges work and that is how the brain changes itself.

When you use affirmations as a self-conscious tool to sever old neural connections to rewire new ones you literally become a new person.

You form a new narrative of yourself by telling yourself a totally different story in turn transforming into a different person.

This is why you may date someone, break up with them, meet them somewhere randomly years later and notice they are a totally different person.

You can do the same rewiring process by simply coming up with your own affirmations based on who you desire to be.

Maintaining The Narrative With Affirmations

Once we have changed the narrative with affirmations we want to MAINTAIN the narrative. This may prove to be more difficult than actually changing the narrative in the first place.

Changing requires a brief period of affirming. Then once we get that boulder down the hill to the bottom, it’s going to take effort to keep pushing that boulder on an even plane.

This is where consistent affirming every day comes into play. It’s similar to consistently adding kindling to a campfire. If we don’t consistently add kindling to a campfire it will burn out.

If we do not apply consistent effort to improving the mind, we will fall right back into mental captivity.

Affirmations Are Portals To Alternate Realities

Alternate realities exist.

Each affirmation has the power to transport you to alternate realities without you realizing it.

Affirmations serve as a image building device. Images are produced by way of affirmations then paired with the emotion of having it realized, which is gratitude. This image-emotion pairing causes an imprint on the subconscious mind.

When this happens the subconscious mind starts to influence the moves we make toward that image and soon enough we attain our desire without even realizing it.

For example, you could be in the most screwed up situation. Pulling your attention away from current situations and on your object of desire will yield you that desire.

This is not to say that we do not have to work for what we want. When we put our attention into an image that WE built for ourselves, we are gradually transported to that reality with unconscious actions.

This transportation to another reality isn’t through some astral portal. This transportation consists of the subconscious mind accepting the message, imprinting the message and looking for corresponding frequencies to move into.

Please understand the power of self-talk through affirmations. Don’t even take my word for it, give it a try. There is just one caveat, you must get rid of all other distractions: social media, streaming services, television, pornography, masturbation, gluttony, drugs and whatever is keeping your mind clouded.

If you are under the influence of any of the above vices it will make it nearly impossible to regain control over your mind. Your mind is your most prized possession. Treat it as such and it will reward you forever.
